Shel Silverstein is a marvelous artist because of his ability to aim his artwork for children. I love the amateur cartoon aspect, and neutral colors-contrary to most childrens illustrators.
And of course, the message in the story is unforgettable, no matter your age :)

Siemon Allen
This art creates a distorted reflection of reality, creating interesting images. It also causes wonder- what is hiding behind the black walls?
Siemon Allen has an exhibition in the Anderson Art gallery currently: "Imaging South Africa." His artwork is recognizable by his routine use of organized repetition, and common themes.

"Sherpa" is interesting because a Cycle of this sort, I would normally associate with roughness, yet he uses soft feathers in contrast to the idea.
I also applaud his use of materials in "Bather" as it is entirely eggshells.

Keone Madrid
Keone Madrid is a hip hop choreographer. I chose this brief sequence to show he various artistic ways he can move his body, and create a moving artwork. Also, I found the title very appropriate since I am now officially a VCU ram. :)
